IACTE MISSION
The mission of the Iowa Association for Career and Technical Education, a collaboration of educators, business,
industry, government, advocates and partners, is to promote and support quality vocational-technical and career education
for all through leadership, advocacy, communications, professional development, and partnerships.
The IACTE is dedicated to quality secondary and post-secondary career and technical education because the
IACTE knows that educators make a difference in the futures of students.
The IACTE is affiliated with the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE)
IACTE encourages membership in ACTE, a national association of people like you. ACTE is the critical link
that keeps career and technical education professionals connected to the needs of our changing society and economy.

National Policy Seminar
in Washington, D.C.
March 5 – 8.
- IACTE provided $4000 this year
to help fund student participation at the ACTE National Policy Seminar. Iowa
is the only state to send students and we were highlighted for that reason at this year’s event. WAY TO GO!!!!
We have learned the value in STUDENTS telling legislators about the difference CTE makes in their lives. In addition to helping legislators understand the importance of CTE, they also learn volumes about
how the legislative process functions and how to provide effective input.
